Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II/III to ensure decontamination, assembly, sterilization and tracking of surgical supplies across departments. The role includes leading assigned areas, training students, and adhering to state and federal regulations.

Level 2 pay range is $20.07–$28.59 hourly; Level 3 range is $20.88–$31.09 hourly. Benefits eligible, 40 hours weekly, on-site with potential overtime and on-call

Qualifications

• Central Processing Certification from HSPA is required.
• High School Diploma is preferred.
• CER or CIS certification through HSPA (Level 3) is preferred.
• Experience with Sterile Processing Department software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect surgical instruments.
• Identify, assemble, wrap, label and sterilize instruments.
• Perform sterilization tests and record results.
• Print needs lists and issue sterile supplies to hospital areas.
• Perform inventory duties and track equipment and consumables.
• Communicate with providers, caregivers, and vendors.
• Teach and precept students and new SPD staff.
