Job summary

Qualifications

• Must attain Central Processing Certification from HSPA within one year of hire date.
• Central Processing Certification from HSPA is required for Levels 2-3.
• High School Diploma preferred; additional certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect basic surgical instruments.
• Identify, assemble, wrap, label and sterilize instruments.
• Print needs lists and collect items for procedures.
• Issue sterile supplies to hospital areas and manage durable equipment.
• Perform inventory duties and communicate with providers and vendors.
