Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, prep, pack and sterilize reusable supplies and instruments used in the Operating Room and Processing Department. You will also handle instrument inventory to support OR operations.

Preferred candidates have less than one year of experience, a High School diploma or GED, and CSP certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience: Less than one year.
• Preferred: High School / GED.
• Preferred: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician.
• Credential Note: CSP Tech certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, preps, packs, and terminally sterilizes reusable patient care supplies, equipment, procedure trays, and surgical instrumentation for use in the hospital.
• Manages instrument inventory and related supplies for the Operating Room and Processing Department.
