Job summary

Mercy seeks a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician II to support Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization. Under general supervision, you will clean, inspect, and assemble instruments, ensuring bioburden-free items and proper documentation in logs or systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, and at least 6 months of sterile processing experience (or 400 hours). Preferred CRCST or CSPDT certification, PPE use, and basic computer skills to track processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Sterile Processing or 400 hours of hands-on experience preferred.
• CRCST Certification through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Handle decontamination, processing and sterilization of instruments.
• Inspect, clean, assemble and test instruments for high level disinfection or sterilization.
• Maintain accurate documentation in logs or computer systems.
• Prioritize instruments for processing and dispatch equipment as needed.
