Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Instrument Technician to join our team. Under supervision, you will clean, inspect, test, and assemble instruments for High Level Disinfection or Sterilization while following Manufacturer's Instructions and hospital policies.

You will maintain documentation, prioritize processing, answer calls, and assist with dispatch of sterile instruments and supplies. Minimum 4 months in Sterile Processing or 400 hours, High School diploma, and CRCST/CSPDT

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 months experience in Sterile Processing or 400 hours of hands on experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization procedures and ensure items are free of bioburden.
• Maintain required documentation on logs and computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation for processing and assist with dispatch of instruments and supplies.
