Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech II in Michigan for an evening shift. The role involves processing materials for hospital and affiliates, including decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization, with a focus on efficient case flow and responsive support to health care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Central Service Processing must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• At least one year of general work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Properly decontaminates instruments using washer/decontaminator equipment and correct hand-washing techniques.
• Assembles instruments ensuring cleanliness and proper function.
• Prepares instruments for sterilization using packaging, rigid container systems, and wrapping techniques.
• Sterilizes instruments by loading carts and operating steam sterilizers and gas plasma units.
• Handles sterilized instruments for storage and distribution.
• Maintains efficient flow of processing procedures and anticipates health care provider requests and patient care needs.
