Job summary

Trinity Health in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, package and sterilize medical-surgical supplies for hospital and affiliated facilities. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Sterile processing training preferred.
• Graduate of a sterile processing program required.
• Agreement to get certification in sterile processing within 1 year of hire.
• Membership in Central Sterile Processing Professional Organization preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and package medical–surgical supplies.
• Perform sterilization procedures and monitor storage and distribution of supplies.
• Unload, sort and deliver linen to departments.
• Maintain efficient processing flow and anticipate health care provider needs and patient care requirements.
