Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic in Florida is seeking a Full-time Evening Shift Certified Sterile Technician to support the Operating Room schedule with a team-focused mindset. You will decontaminate, prepare, package and sterilize surgical instrumentation, perform CST duties, and ensure proper documentation and daily distribution of processed materials.

Must have a high school diploma; CST course/certification preferred; 2+ years experience (5 years preferred); strong computer skills and

• Central Services Technician course and Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years previous experience; 5 years preferred.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Good interpersonal skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, prepares, packages and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and supplies.
• Performs all duties of a Certified Sterile Technician.
• Meets daily required distribution of processed materials with proper documentation and reports submitted.
• Assures proper instrumentation requirements for the surgical schedule as indicated by supervisor and SPD/OR Liaison
• Operates the sterilizer and ensures that staff is producing a minimum of 4 trays each.
