Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan in Grand Rapids seeks a Sterile Processing Tech II to ensure safe, sterile instruments for the OR and affiliated facilities. You will decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize equipment, maintaining efficient flow and accurate case setup to meet patient care needs.

The role requires a high school diploma, CS Processing certification within 18 months, and at least one year of general work experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification in Central Service Processing within 18 months of hire.
One year of general work experience.

Responsibilities

Decontaminates instruments using washer/decontaminator equipment and proper hand-washing techniques.
Assembles instruments ensuring cleanliness and proper function.
Prepares instruments for sterilization with appropriate packaging and wrapping techniques.
Sterilizes instruments by loading carts and operating steam sterilizers or gas plasma sterilizers.
Manages storage and distribution of sterilized instruments.
Maintains efficient flow of processing procedures and supports health care provider requests.
Anticipates instrument and supply needs using surgery lists and inventory levels.
