Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking a Central Services Technician II to manage decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will help store and dispense equipment, identify needed items, and support the OR with timely instrument readiness.

Role requires a high school diploma/GED with 2 years in reprocessing, CRCST or CSPDT certification, and strong adherence to infection control and HIPAA rules. The position offers growth opportunities within Bronson's Central Services.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 2 years in reprocessing/sterilization.
CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
Ability to read schedules, IFU’s, policies, and procedures.
Effective communication with team members and departments.
Ability to perform basic math and document accurately.
Proficiency in computer programs including email, instrument-tracking, EMR, and internet searches.
Knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to rotate to all Sterile Processing areas.

Responsibilities

Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, store, and dispense surgical instrumentation.
Identify disposable items needed for cases and respond to OR needs.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
Provide technical support to OR staff and act as a preceptor to new employees.
Ensure items are properly disinfected/sterilized and ready for patient care.
Document work tasks and participate in ongoing education.
