Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Central Service (CS) Technician I to join the Sterile Processing team. You will perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and dispensing of surgical instrumentation in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Central Services Tech program or related experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Central Services Technology Program or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schedules, policies, and IFU documents.
• Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge is preferred.
• Basic math, computer use, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, store and dispense surgical instrumentation.
• Identify disposable items needed for case carts and pull as required.
• Rotate to all areas of Sterile Processing and maintain compliance with policies.
• Provide consistent customer service to stakeholders and protect patient safety.
