UofL Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech I for the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. This part-time role operates 6:30a-3p and supports decontamination, prep/pack, sterilization, and dispatch of surgical instruments.

You will work with SPD staff to deliver sterile instrumentation, maintain clean areas, and ensure compliance with AAMI/AORN and HIPAA guidelines. A high school diploma is required, and certification must be completed within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Nationally recognized Sterile Processing certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist in decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch of instruments.
• Deliver sterile and non-sterile instrumentation to surgical areas as needed.
• Maintain inventory and clean, organized SPD work areas.
• Operate processing equipment and monitor sterilization processes.
• Adhere to HIPAA, safety policies, and department procedures.
