Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician to support decontamination, prep, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will work with a team under supervision to learn the CSP process and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is available for eligible non-BILH employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must acquire certification with a National certifying body within 12 months of hire date.
• Attention to detail; good organizational skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and clean equipment and instruments per policy; assist with PPE and documentation.
• Prepare and package instruments and trays; verify packaging integrity and labeling; document tasks.
• Operate and monitor sterilization processes; perform routine sterilizer testing and record results.
• Assist with casebuilding and inventory management to support perioperative schedules and patient care.
• Maintain organized workstation and adhere to confidentiality policies; participate in quality improvement activities.
