Job summary

UofL Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Tech to support the Surgical Services team in Louisville. This role ensures delivery of sterile instrumentation and supplies, supports decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch functions in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, have 1 year of healthcare experience, and obtain national Sterile Processing certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Nationally recognized certification for Sterile Processing required within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and place into case carts for procedures.
• Deliver sterile and non-sterile instrumentation to departments.
• Distribute case carts to the Surgery Department as scheduled.
• Maintain back-up case carts and ensure instrument integrity.
