Job summary

Enloe Health in Chico, CA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I for the Nights shift. The role focuses on decontamination, packaging and sterilization of instruments and equipment, with a 10-hour shift and 80 hours per pay period.

The position emphasizes accuracy, safety and collaboration with perioperative teams. Required: 1 year in sterile processing, Basic Anatomy/Physiology or Medical Terminology, and CPR.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in sterile processing functions.
• Completed class in Basic Anatomy and Physiology and/or Medical Terminology.
• Current CPR

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment.
• Perform decontamination, packaging, sterilization, handling and storage activities.
• Assist with room turnover and stocking of supplies in Sterile Processing and surgery area.
• Orient and train new employees and assist with patient care tasks as assigned.
