Job summary

HonorHealth's Thompson Peak Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the OR Central Sterile department (CSPD). The role is evenings, PRN, with rotating weekends and on call.

You will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and deliver instrumentation, maintain documentation, and support case cart operations in accordance with standards. A High School Diploma or GED is required; sterile processing training or CSPD CRCST/CSPDT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a sterile processing training program or CSPD certification preferred.
• 1 year CSPD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate instrumentation and medical equipment using chemicals and automated systems.
• Assemble, prep and pack instrumentation; inspect for cleanliness and function; label and wrap instruments.
• Sterilize instruments following prescribed procedures and monitor validation processes.
• Assemble case carts, stock sterile storage, and coordinate with the perioperative team to maintain workflow.
