Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing & Distribution (SPD) Certified Technician for the PCH-MAIN SPD team in Phoenix.

You will decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute instruments, ensure compliance with AAMI, CBSPD/IAHCSMM standards, and support the Operating Room with timely instrument availability. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited CS/SPD Technician course required.
• 3 years of experience in central sterile department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate instrumentation per manufacturer recommendations and AAMI standards.
• Liaise between the OR and Sterile Processing to communicate instrument needs.
• Inspect, assemble, wrap, and test instrumentation for proper function.
• Sterilize instruments per IFU and document results with tracking systems.
• Assemble case carts and maintain supplies; perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
