Berkshire Health Systems in Pittsfield, MA, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment for procedures. You will ensure instruments are clean, safe, and ready for reuse, following CRCST/CER/CIS guidelines.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, inventory management, and collaboration with OR staff. Certification candidates are encouraged to apply; CS competency and leadership potential are valued.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of CS certifications or eligible within two years.
• Experience in sterile processing or hospital CS preferred.
• Proficient in CS tech competencies and instrument handling.

Responsabilidades

• Handle surgical instruments and prepare sets for cases.
• Decontaminate, sterilize, section and wrap instruments.
• Assist with inventory, case carts, and storage of supplies.
• Oversee CS areas to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Train and guide staff in CS procedures and best practices.
