Job summary

Care New England seeks a CPD Certified Technician to perform reprocessing of instruments, supplies, and equipment used in patient care. You will receive, transport, and process contaminated items, operate department equipment, and monitor sterilization processes to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include processing case carts, retrieving case cards, inventorying supplies, and supporting OR and delivery areas. Requires RCST, HS diploma, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• RCST certification is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in central processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, receive, and process contaminated instruments and supplies.
• Sort, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize instrumentation and linens.
• Perform and interpret sterilization monitoring activities.
• Retrieve preference cards from the computer based on case schedule.
• Inventory and replenish sterile linens for surgery and related areas.
• Prepare case carts according to preference cards.
• Serve as a resource to co-workers and hospital staff.
• Track supply inventory and report shortages to team leader.
• Assist other department staff as assigned.
