Job summary

Advocate Health’s Milwaukee Sterile Processing Services unit seeks a full-time team member for 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekends/holidays as needed. Position handles sterilization, instrument processing and quality control for surgical items, ensuring accurate records and safe patient care.

Benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO and retirement plans. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required. 40 hours per week, full-time, with shift rotation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterilization principles and applications.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes and maintains proper care of all surgical instruments and equipment, scopes and powered surgical instruments.
• Receives soiled and contaminated items and prepares them for cleaning and sterilization.
• Sterilizes instruments and equipment using aerator, gas or steam sterilizers and performs quality assurance testing.
