Qualifications

• Typically 3 years of sterile processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to employees, providing day-to-day work direction and training.
• Assists with interviewing and staff development.
• Monitors department operations and assigns daily work.
• Receives and decontaminates soiled items; sterilizes instruments and equipment.
• Packages items and performs quality assurance tests for sterility of supplies.
• Handles high-cost instrumentation with proper care and handling.
• Keeps track of incoming trays and coordinates with departments.
• Delivers case carts to operating room; responds to sterilizer issues.
