Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent; courses in sciences and mathematics, or
• One year experience in a hospital-related field that provides background in medical environment or sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, inspects, cleans, sorts, disassembles and reassembles complex instrument trays and sterilizes equipment.
• Inspects instruments for function and cleanliness; documents all items processed.
• Performs sterilization and packaging inspection; ensures proper parameters for instruments.
• Assembles instrument trays and documents missing items; handles emergencies and add-on cases.
• Manages inventory, replenishes stock, and tracks items in the inventory system.
• Conducts regular biological monitoring of sterilizers and performs preventative maintenance.

Education

One year hospital-related experience
