Job summary

Fairview's St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift. You will decontaminate, set up, and sterilize surgical instruments, and serve as a resource to OR staff.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a unionized work environment (SEIU Local 113). Training will be provided; prior experience or completion of Fairview Sterile Processing training is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing or related role considered a plus.
• Completion of Fairview Sterile Processing training program or CRCST/CBSPD certification preferred.
• Ability to follow strict instrument handling procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble and sterilize reusable instruments.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization and store/distribute to OR as needed.
• Assist clinicians and maintain instrument inventories and workflow.
