Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring for a Driver/Material Handler at the Central Sterile Processing Center on the University of Minnesota West Bank Campus. This is a 1.0 FTE, benefits-eligible position on the evening shift with rotating weekends.

Shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM on a two-week schedule. The role transports and distributes sterile product and material among Fairview entities, loads/unloads carts, and uses a pallet jack.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and valid Class B license.
• Experience driving trucks with Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CPC instrumentation, linen, metalware and sterile products between Fairview entities.
• Load and unload equipment from delivery vehicles.
• Deliver supplies and carts to designated areas within the hospitals.
• Utilize power pallet jack for movement of heavy materials.
• Verify materials contents against surgical case cart orders.
• Build metalware orders.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ensure vehicle fuel, tune-ups and oil changes; submit receipts.
