Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking an experienced Central Sterile Technician for the evening shift. You will decontaminate, clean, assemble, package, sterilize, and stock reusable medical devices and surgical instruments, ensuring traceability and compliance with IFU guidelines.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in a central sterile role, and CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required/equivalent accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments.
• Operates sterile processing equipment (washers, sterilizers) and follows department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and function; identifies items needing repair or replacement.
• Assembles instrument trays and procedure sets according to standardized lists and quality standards.
• Maintains instrument traceability using tracking systems and manages stock levels.
