Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to reprocess reusable instruments and equipment in the Sterile Processing department. The role includes cleaning, packaging, sterilization and distribution of reusables, and completing OR case carts.

Requires CRCST certification or enrollment within one year, and a High School Diploma. Prior central service or surgery experience is preferred. Will work under supervision and adhere to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certificate or obtain within one year of hire.
• High School Diploma required.
• Prior Central Service or Surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains adequate stock on hand and monitors inventory levels.
• Coordinates with inventory coordinator for replenishment of items.
• Performs sterile reprocessing of surgical instruments and linen packs.
• Ensures proper organization and identification of reusable supplies.
• Maintains sterilization logs and related documentation.
