Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's AZ General Hospital-Mesa is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure sterile instrumentation is available for procedures. You will process and sterilize instruments, assemble trays, conduct quality checks, and maintain inventory to support patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; preferred completion of a surgical instrument technician program or two years of instrument experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a surgical instrument technician program or 2 years relative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers case carts; uses aseptic technique with sterile supplies.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment.
• Prepares and wraps instrument sets for various sterilization methods.
• Answers phone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies.
• Utilizes high/low temperature sterilization and disinfection processes.
