Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to break down moving parts, clean, lubricate and reassemble equipment.
• Effective organizational, communication and human relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide decontamination, assembly and packaging of surgical instruments per protocols and IFUs.
• Maintain sterilization logs and quality assurance records.
• Interpret surgical schedule and medical terminology for instrument needs; prioritize requests.
• Differentiate instrument ownership and track instruments; report replacements to maintain readiness.
• Operate sterilization equipment and QA devices for sterility assurance.
