Qualifications

• BLS Certification is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous Central Processing experience is not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Process all contaminated instruments and endoscopes according to standards.
• Check and record daily room temperatures and humidity; report discrepancies.
• Make rounds to retrieve instruments/trays for reprocessing.
• Wrap or package items for sterilization following principles.
• Perform tray assembly with correct count sheets attached to trays.
• Maintain sterilization units, notify BioMed if issues arise.
• Run daily biological and chemical tests; log results.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily tasks.
• Rotate sterile supplies; manage inventories and aging.
