Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Tech) to support decontamination, sterilization, and case cart operations. This 2nd shift role covers evenings, with occasional travel to support other centers. Requires physical stamina and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives soiled and contaminated items in decontamination area and sorts equipment.
• Sterilizes instruments and equipment using aerator, gas or steam sterilizers; performs quality assurance testing.
• Maintains proper care of high-cost instrumentation and equipment with special handling needs.
• May build case carts and file case cart sheets; assist with required documentation for billing.
• Performs general cleaning of shelves and checks stock levels and damaged goods.
