Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Supervisor to lead the team that furnishes sterile and non-sterile supplies for patient care. You will supervise decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution across facilities and ensure aseptic techniques.

The role emphasizes training staff, maintaining records, inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. RN preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• Associate's Degree Preferred.
• 1-3 years in Central Sterile Supply Service and experience in the operating room Preferred.
• Accountable for supervising, directing and coordinating sterile and non-sterile supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory and records of supplies and usage.
• Ensure aseptic techniques are employed in preparing and handling sterile items.

Responsibilities

• Supervises personnel in decontaminating, assembling, packaging and sterilizing items.
• Establishes methods and standards for preparing and handling sterile items.
• Trains personnel in aseptic techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Manages stock rotation, requisitioning and billing records.
• Takes microbiological samples and ensures daily sterility checks.
• Maintains clean, orderly work areas and adequate department inventory.
