Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to manage an 8-hour shift overseeing sterile processing, decontamination and distribution of surgical instruments across inpatient and outpatient services.

The role requires 3+ years in sterile processing (1 year supervisory preferred), knowledge of AAMI, AORN, FDA, JCAHO and OSHA, and strong leadership, communication and analytical skills. CRCST certification is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sterile processing or operating room, 1 year supervisory preferred.
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization sciences, case cart systems and medical/surgical supplies/equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of AAMI, AORN, FDA, JCAHO, OSHA standards.
• Demonstrates leadership/management skills.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Office software; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an 8-hour shift for sterile processing, decontamination and distribution of sterilized products to inpatient and outpatient care areas.
• Plan, design and monitor procedures for processing and sterilization to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Direct administration and coordination of sterile processing, decontamination of instruments, and distribution including case cart delivery.
• Assist with staff development and act as backup for payroll and supply ordering.
• Cover Ambulatory Surgical Centers as needed per Manager.
