Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
One year of Sterile Processing Technician experience preferred.
Successful completion of a recognized Central Sterile Processing training program preferred.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment.
Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
