Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Central Sterile Technician to support the sterile processing and supply chain for the perioperative suite. You will sterilize, assemble, and store instruments, ensuring timely delivery of case carts and instrument sets to surgical teams.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with CST certification preferred; or 3 years of Central Sterile experience in its absence. Full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program is required.
• If CST certificate is not held, 3 years of Central Sterile experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.
• Assists in maintaining workflow and provides superior customer service.
