Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Mankato, MN is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team through preparation and delivery of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment. Under supervision, you will process sterile items, manage inventory, and operate autoclaves and related equipment.

Requirements include CRCST certification within 18 months, being 18 or older, and preferred two years of experience in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• HSPA Certification as a Central Processing Technician (CRCST) within 18 months of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Prefer two years of experience in handling and sterilization of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation; or relevant alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical instruments; maintain inventory and storage in the core.
• Operate and troubleshoot power equipment (autoclaves, washer disinfector, ultrasonic cleaners).
• Manage multiple computer applications to assist with sterilization tracking.
