Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and supplies.

You will work with Endoscopy teams, manage inventory, and support patient safety through rigorous quality control. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and CRCST/CSPDT certification, with experience in sterile processing or surgical tech preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification; CBSPD or CER acceptable for Endoscopy.
• Experience in Sterile Processing or as a surgical tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle decontamination of instruments and equipment.
• Prepare and assemble instrument trays for procedures.
• Perform sterilization using steam, gas, or other approved methods and document results.
• Maintain inventory and distribute supplies using Epic OpTime.
• Support Endoscopy procedures and turnover of suites under supervision.
• Provide quality customer service and participate in improvement activities.
• Assist with controlling costs and maintaining equipment within budget.
