Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, sterilize and package surgical instruments per prescribed procedures. You will operate steam and sterrad sterilizers and maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout processing.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED with strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to lift 40–50 lbs. Certification (CSPDT/CRCST) within 1.5 years is expected. Evening shift availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to reading and comprehend instructions and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to obtain CSPDT/CRCST within 1.5 years.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Prepares trays of surgical instruments and packs.
• Operates steam and sterrad sterilizers following procedures.
• Reports findings and completes shift documentation.
