Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize and store surgical instruments and equipment. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend rotations, and 1 year of SPD experience is preferred.

The position involves supporting procurement activities, audits, and system-wide supply chain initiatives, with a focus on training, policy development, and KPI monitoring. Memorial emphasizes quality of care and staff competency.

Qualifications

• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking, effective communication and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Required Work Experience: One year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
• Other Information: Training in Central Sterile Processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of ERP, GHX, and other tools to ensure efficiencies.
• Assists Director of Supply Chain (Procurement) and Managers with training and planning of system-wide activities.
• Supports multi-year POs renewal to avert discrepancies and disruptions in supply delivery.
• Reviews performance metrics and applies results to improve outcomes.
• Collaborates with internal/external departments on training requirements.
