Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Six months to one year in Central Services or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of all sterilization functions and control methods.
• Assembles kits with proper count sheets and logs load records.
• Maintains decontamination and packing areas per guidelines and ensures proper documentation.
• Tests sterilizers (e.g., Bowie‑Dick) and records results in logbooks.
• Manages case cart systems, generates pick lists, and ensures timely delivery to OR.
• Maintains inventory levels and adheres to safety and material handling procedures.
