Job summary

Independence Health in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Central Service Technician to support sterile instrumentation for Surgery and other departments.

You will decontaminate, inspect, wrap, and load trays, operate sterilizers, and maintain records, following CBSPD/HSPA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or higher education.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office equipment.
• CRCST and/or Surgical Technician background (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and inspects surgical instruments.
• Cleans and decontaminates reusable patient equipment.
• Loads sterilizer rack and ensures sterilization parameters.
• Records load contents and maintains sterilization documentation.
• Transports equipment between departments.
