Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Central Processing Technician II to oversee sterile processing, decontamination, and distribution of surgical instruments. You will mentor staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain records of sterilization cycles in a fast-paced hospital setting in Pittsburgh, PA.

The role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification at hire (or CST/TSC as alternative), a high school diploma, and at least 2 years of sterile processing

Qualifications

• Requires CRCST or CSPDT certification at hire (or CST/TSC as an alternative)
• 2 years of experience in sterile processing preferred
• Ability to train and mentor staff in decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization procedures

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train sterile processing technicians
• Disassemble, clean, and assemble instruments according to count sheets
• Operate automated washing and decontamination equipment
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function
• Monitor sterilization cycles and interpret printouts
• Document cycles and maintain service records
• Deliver sterile items to requesting departments promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Follow safety and infection control policies
