Advocate Health Care in Chicago is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the safe decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will follow established procedures, operate sterilization equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities include wrapping and packaging trays, tracking items in the Censitrac system, performing biological and chemical tests, and supporting inventory and distribution to the OR.

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ability to communicate and follow directions.
• Computer skills required.
• Experienced in operating sterilization equipment.

Mansioni

• Decontamination of instruments and equipment following established procedures.
• Performance of Sterilization and related testing (biological/chemical/physical).
• Performance of Inventory/Storage/Distribution functions for sterile items.
• Wrapping/packing and labeling instruments for sterilization.
• Use Censitrac Instrument Tracking system to assemble trays and record results.
• Demonstration of leadership and teamwork within SPD.
