Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing Department. You will perform decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and terminal sterilization of instruments and equipment, ensuring cross‑contamination prevention and proper workflow.

This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and strong teamwork in a hospital setting. Qualifications include a high school education or equivalent, basic computer skills, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of Instruments and Equipment.
• Performance of Assembly/Packaging/Wrapping for sterilization.
• Performance of all equipment in Sterile Processing (steam sterilizers, monitors).
• Performance of Inventory/Storage/Distribution Functions for sterile items.
• Exchange and Delivery of Code Blue case carts.
• Participates in quality improvement activities in the department.
