Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Quality Improvement Health Specialist II to advance sterile processing quality across UC Irvine Health locations. You will lead performance improvement initiatives, develop training curricula, and ensure compliance with IAHCSMM and AORN standards. Travel within Orange County locations will be required.

The role requires strong project management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a Bachelor’s or Associate degree with CRCST or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with IAHCSMM and AORN standards governing sterile processing and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to draft, edit, and produce training manuals and compliance reports.
• Experience developing and delivering educational curricula for healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor performance improvement initiatives related to central services.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure regulatory compliance across cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes.
• Travel locally to UC Irvine Health Sterile Processing locations to support and train staff.
