Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to support the surgical services team. The role handles decontamination, sterilization, instrument assembly, and sterile set preparation to maintain readiness for procedures.

The ideal candidate has a High School/GED and is preferred to have an Associate's/Technical degree or related experience, with Sterile Processing Technician certification preferred. Routine autoclave cleaning and room turnover tasks are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED required.
• Associate's/Technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and processes instruments, including counting instruments and recording counts.
• Sterilizes instruments, trays, basins, etc. with the appropriate exposure/dry times.
• Prepares instruments for immediate use sterilization when necessary.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment in the department by daily wiping of counters, sinks, exterior surface of autoclaves and high disinfection equipment.
• Cleans the autoclave chambers on a weekly basis.
• Assists Operating Room Housekeeping with room turnover and terminal cleaning of Operating Room suites.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent (Required)

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Preferred)
