Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Sterilization Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical/surgical materials. The role requires careful handling of instruments, adherence to sterile processing standards, and operation of barcode tracking systems.

You will also assist with inventory and environmental maintenance in sterile processing areas. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and Sterilization Technician certification, with at least 1

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• State licensure or certification as a Sterilization Technician, as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• Sterile Processing Technicians with at least 1 year of experience to work in a fast-paced OR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trays according to prescribed procedures and wrap/package items for designated areas.
• Operate barcode instrument tracking system.
• Disassemble, clean, assemble and test specialty instrumentation and equipment.
• Decontaminate, sterilize and assemble instruments and trays, following Standard Precautions.
• Maintain inventory, restock, label and distribute instruments, trays and equipment.
