Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis seeks a Supervising Technician to oversee all daily operations of the Central Processing Department (CPD) across locations, including decontamination, reprocessing, high-level disinfection, sterile processing and case-cart picking, ensuring compliance with TJC, DHS, AAMI, AORN, SGNA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role within a Supply Chain/Material Management/Sterile Processing department.
• Certified Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• OR
• An approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with CPD Manager, nursing, and operations on all supply and instrument tray changes.
• Monitors and maintains inventory to ensure adequate sterile supplies and instrumentation.
• Orders storeroom and direct purchase supplies for CPD areas.
• Facilitates recall procedures for supplies and instruments; provides supervisory direction and support in planning, organizing, and coordinating CPD activities.
• Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff according to hospital policies and procedures.
