Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Sterile Processing leader to operate, direct, and supervise the Sterile Processing department and its systems. You will coordinate reprocessing of supplies and equipment, including decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and manage inventory and distribution.

The role requires oversight of staff development, policy adherence, cost control, and quality metrics in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication, critical thinking and team-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, healthcare management or related field.
• Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CSPDT) is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Sterile Processing department and related systems.
• Coordinate reprocessing, decontamination, prep, packaging, sterilization of instrumentation.
• Maintain quality control and infection control compliance.
