Job summary

The role includes maintaining workflow between OR and Sterile Processing, staff evaluation feedback, and complying with regulatory guidelines and infection control standards. Strong leadership and extensive sterile processing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six years of Sterile Processing in an acute care hospital.
• Licenses/Certifications: CSCST or CSPDT; CIS or CSIS.
• Demonstrates safety, English communication, and customer-service oriented skills.
• Knowledge of infection control, decontamination, and sterilization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate processing services based on Technician acuity; ensure timely decontamination and reprocessing.
• Serve as primary resource for staff; mentor and promote teamwork with OR staff.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Sterile Processing; communicate with interprofessional team.
• Coach staff in communication and engagement; manage daily management reports.
• Monitor compliance with policies, regulatory guidelines, and budgeting interactions.
