Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is seeking a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening Shift. You will lead a team, ensure instrument sterilization, and partner with the OR team to maintain efficient schedules.

Responsibilities include instrument preparation, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and staff training to uphold safety and quality in a high‑volume hospital setting in Houston.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments and trays to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment with detailed cycle logs and safety checks.
• Prepare surgical sets and case carts according to daily schedules.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with the surgical team to support timely surgeries.
• Lead and train the Sterile Processing team, facilitating a safe, high‑quality environment.
